Gaslight Home > Current Season
... our Evening of One-Acts and maybe, a December surprise
2012 Season
Welcome to 2012: Acting, Alibis, Aces ... and Agatha.
In 2012, Gaslight Theater will put you in entertaining company. We'll introduce you to an acting class who could be your neighbors; more than 100 spies, counter-spies, hapless policemen and mysterious women played by just 4 people; a hopelessly hilarious group of golf addicts; and a vintage mélange of innocents, not-so-innocents and murderers created by the incomparable Christie.
Circle Mirror Transformation, a new play from Annie Baker, was Off-Broadway's best in 2010. You will meet a group of Vermonters who come together for a weekly acting class and learn more than they bargained for.
The 39 Steps takes Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller, and puts it all on stage, including escapes from moving trains, airplane crashes, marching bands and flocks of sheep. Really. That's why we'll only have room for 4 actors to play all the roles.
Ken Ludwig's Fox on the Fairway is for anyone who loves golf, or loves someone who loves golf. Or who hates golf, but loves farce complete with doors slamming and mistaken identities.
Then Murder on the Nile: It's Agatha Chistie. It's Egypt. It's murder. How else would you want to spend a November evening?
Join us. It's our 75th season ... and the fun is just beginning.
